About this opportunity
The John and Elnora Smith Scholarship was established in 2014 by the John and Elnora Smith Foundation at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington. John and Elnora Smith were long-time Orondo orchardists who were active in business and strong community contributors who believed in the importance of education. The scholarship helps students in the Orondo, Waterville and Eastmont School Districts who are strong academically and demonstrate good citizenship and an interest in their community. Three scholarships are given annually: one to a current graduate of Waterville High School, one to a current graduate of Eastmont High School who is a resident of the Orondo School District, and one to a current graduate of Eastmont High School who is a resident of the Eastmont School District. Awards are based on scholarship, citizenship, community involvement and financial need.
