John and Hilda Rebus Memorial Scholarship

The John and Hilda Rebus Memorial Scholarship is an endowed scholarship awarded annually to support students with superior academic achievement in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence and provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate both outstanding academic standing and financial need. Recipients must be enrolled in any year of a degree program within the Faculty of Arts and must be on the Dean's Honors List, demonstrating exceptional academic performance. Additionally, students must have at least 30 units of course weight remaining in their programs to be eligible. The scholarship was established through the Estate of John and Hilda Rebus as part of the Building the Future for Students Endowment Fund. Selection is based primarily on academic standing, with preference given to students who have indicated financial need. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship portal, making the application process straightforward for eligible candidates.
