About This Opportunity
The John and Mary Martin Scholarship was established in 1987 from Mary Martin's will, in honor of John Martin who was a long-time German and Social Studies teacher in the Waterville School District. The Martin family was deeply committed to ensuring that deserving students from Waterville High School receive resources to further their education. In 2014, the scholarship committee transferred the funds to the Community Foundation of North Central Washington to ensure the fund would continue to fulfill its purpose in perpetuity. The scholarship continues to support graduating seniors from Waterville High School who are attending post-secondary school in the United States. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be enrolled in an accredited education program in the USA.
