About this opportunity
The John and May Lockhart Centennial Bar None Award in Nutrition and Food Science is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the fourth year of a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on participation in faculty student club(s), agricultural community involvement, and extracurricular activities. Preference is given to students from farming or ranching families in Western Canada where the primary income of the family is derived from the farm or ranch. If there is no qualified applicant entering the fourth year, a student entering the third year will be considered. Students are eligible to receive one Bar None Award or Scholarship in any given academic year. This endowed award was established by John (BScAg 1962) and May Lockhart (Dip Rehab Med 1963), alumni of the University of Alberta, in honour of the Faculty of ALES Centennial.
