John and May Lockhart 'This Business of Farming' Bar None Award

The John and May Lockhart 'This Business of Farming' Bar None Award is an annual scholarship awarded to students with satisfactory academic achievement entering the fourth year of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, the Bachelor of Science in Animal Health, or the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural/Food Business Management degree programs in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. Recipients are selected based on participation in Faculty Student Clubs, agricultural community involvement, and extracurricular activities. A key eligibility requirement is that recipients must come from a farming or ranching family in Western Canada where the primary income of the family is derived from the farm or ranch. If no qualified fourth-year applicants are available, students entering third year of the above programs will be considered. Students are eligible to receive only one Bar None award or scholarship in any given year. The award is supported by endowed funds established by John and May Lockhart, alumni of the University of Alberta.
