About this opportunity
Established in 1905 by a gift from Mrs Jane Coutts in memory of her son, Mr John Coutts (a graduate of the University of Sydney), this scholarship provides financial support to students of outstanding academic merit undertaking honours study in the Faculty of Science. The scholarship is valued at $7,500 and is awarded to students who have achieved the highest grades in the final year of the Bachelor of Science and have an unconditional offer of full-time admission for appended honours within Bachelor of Science (Honours), or embedded honours study within the Bachelor of Advanced Studies. No application is required as all eligible candidates are considered automatically, with successful candidates advised by email by the end of February. The scholarship is tenable for one year only and is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each relevant semester.
