About this opportunity
The John Cross Memorial Award is an annual scholarship awarded to a student member of the University of Alberta Range Team who participates in both the comprehensive Range Management and Range Plant Identification Examinations at the annual winter meeting of the Society for Range Management. The recipient is normally selected based on combined academic standing in the two examinations and outstanding contributions made to the development, training, and success of their Range Team. Other qualities such as team leadership are also considered in the selection process. This award is funded by endowed funds established by John M and Eleanor Cross and is administered through the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta.
