About This Opportunity

The John Flood Memorial Scholarship is a stipend scholarship that provides financial assistance to outstanding Masters by Research or PhD scholars to conduct research in the area of neuromuscular diseases within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Established in 1990, this scholarship was generously donated by friends of Dr John Flood of Wollongong who died in 1988. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate for the duration of the candidate's research degree. Recipients must be enrolled full-time (or part-time with approval) and conduct research specifically in the field of neuromuscular diseases. The scholarship follows the Research Training Program application process and recipients are selected based on their RTP Scholarship application and nomination by the Associate Dean (Research Education) and the Faculty Higher Degree by Research Scholarship Committee.
