John Hennessy-Moore Memorial Apprenticeship Award

The John Hennessy-Moore Memorial Apprenticeship Award is a scholarship opportunity for first-year Red Deer Polytechnic apprentices enrolled in the Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship program. This award recognizes academic excellence in safety education by requiring students to achieve grades of 80% or higher on two safety assessments completed through their BlackBoard account between September and May 31 annually. The award is granted to the apprentice with the highest grades in these two safety modules. Recipients must be continuing their studies in the subsequent year of the program at Red Deer Polytechnic in the upcoming academic year. The scholarship provides $1,050 to one recipient and is applied for automatically through the completion of the General Application in the Red Deer Polytechnic Scholarships system.
