About this opportunity
The John Hodgson Pastoral Science Scholarship is a postgraduate scholarship for candidates who want to or are undertaking research in the field of or related to pastoral science at postgraduate level. This scholarship is supported by funds accumulated under the Trade for Training Scheme established by Associate Professor Alex Chu between 1988 and 1996. It is named after Professor John Hodgson, former Head of the Agronomy Department at Massey University, in recognition of his leadership of, and contribution to, numerous pastoral projects conducted in China managed by Dr Chu. These projects included a United Nations Development Programme project in Guizhou. The scholarship provides financial support for one year's duration to students pursuing postgraduate research, including Master's level studies, in pastoral science or related fields. Multiple awards are available each year.
