John J. Yackimec Memorial Scholarship

The John J. Yackimec Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 by Orest & Patricia Yackimec to support students pursuing animal science education at Lakeland College. This scholarship provides $500 to a full-time student enrolled in the second year of the Animal Science Technology program at the Vermilion campus. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, good work ethic, and pride in animal care. Preference is given to students whose families are currently engaged in farming and to former 4-H members.
