John L. Whisnand Scholarship

The John L. Whisnand Scholarship is awarded to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate outstanding character and financial need. Recipients must be students in good standing with a minimum of one year remaining to complete their Bachelor's Degree. The scholarship recognizes individuals whose actions and conduct reflect with credit upon the university. The award amount varies and is announced in the Spring with disbursement in the Fall semester. Applicants are required to submit reference information, a current resume, and a short essay describing their outstanding character, action, and conduct at Eastern Illinois University.
