About this opportunity
The John Lewis Partnership Foundation Employability Fund supports projects that help young people living in disadvantaged communities acquire the skills needed for meaningful employment. The fund specifically targets communities where the John Lewis Partnership has a presence, including areas near John Lewis stores, Waitrose stores, suppliers, manufacturers, distribution hubs, or contact centres throughout the world. Projects must be sustainable, create a quantifiable legacy, demonstrably improve social inclusion, have a beneficial impact on the wider community, and measurably improve understanding and community cooperation. The fund prioritizes projects that deliver maximum positive impact to the greatest number of beneficiaries and demonstrate plans to become self-resourcing. Eligible organizations must be registered charities, Community Interest Companies, or demonstrate charitable activity. Projects must be inclusive, non-denominational, and non-political, focusing on employability skills for vulnerable young people in disadvantaged communities.
