About this opportunity
The John Luscombe Scholarship for Vocal Studies provides assistance to students studying vocal studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Established in 2020 from a gift from Alan Hyland and John Luscombe Endowment for Vocal and Instrumental Studies, this scholarship is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled full-time at the Conservatorium. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter. Selection is based on academic merit, personal statement, demonstrated evidence of disadvantage, and/or portfolio and performance, with preference given to postgraduate applicants. For postgraduate research students, research achievements and potential may also be considered. The scholarship is awarded as either a merit-based or equity-based scholarship, with merit scholarships requiring no application as students are automatically considered during admission.
