John McArthur Geography Research Scholarship

The John McArthur Geography Research Scholarship supports students undertaking research in geography as part of a master's degree at Massey University. The scholarship provides $13,000 for one year to support master's students enrolled in a 60, 90, or 120 credit research course. John McArthur was a geographer who taught at Massey University from 1970 until his retirement in 1997. He died in 2021 and left a bequest to support research at Massey University. The scholarship considers academic merit and the intended research project, with preference given to projects supervised by a geographer.
