About this opportunity
The John Michael Brownutt Graduate Scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding graduate Aboriginal First Nation (Status, Non-Status, Inuit or Metis) students at the University of Victoria. Students must have demonstrated community involvement. One or more scholarships are awarded annually to support Indigenous graduate students pursuing their studies at UVic. The scholarships recognize both academic excellence, with a minimum requirement of an A- average, and commitment to community engagement. Approval of recipients is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of IACE (Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement).
