John Richard and Sam Copithorne Centennial Scholarship

The John Richard and Sam Copithorne Centennial Scholarship is awarded annually to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with superior academic achievement entering the third or fourth year of a degree program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. The scholarship is funded through an endowment established by the descendants of the John, Richard and Sam Copithorne families. Recipients are selected based on academic standing and involvement in extracurricular activities, with financial need serving as the tiebreaker criterion when candidates have equivalent qualifications.
