Johnetta Haley Scholarship

The Johnetta Haley Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship offered by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to support undergraduate students. This scholarship is designed to support enrollment of students who are underrepresented in their anticipated field of study. The admission application serves as the scholarship application, making it easy for eligible students to be considered. First-year students can receive up to $8,000 over 4 years, while transfer students can receive up to $4,000 over 2 years. Awards are granted as funding becomes available. To be eligible, first-year students must have a cumulative 3.0 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale, and transfer students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Only U.S. students are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship aims to increase diversity and support underrepresented students in pursuing their chosen fields of study at SIUE. Recipients are selected based on their academic merit and their status as underrepresented students in their intended major or field of study.
