About this opportunity
The Joint Research Groups in the UK scheme provides support to research groups of mathematicians to enable them to engage in collaborative activities through holding regular meetings. Groups should be made up of mathematicians who are working in at least three different locations and who have a common research interest. At least two of the three (or more) institutions making up the group must be in the UK, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands, though international nodes can be included. The grant supports meetings held in rotation at each of the participating institutions, and it is expected that meetings will be open to all, with particular encouragement for participation by research students and young postdoctoral mathematicians. The scheme aims to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange within the mathematical sciences community.
