Joseph and Katherine Gamel Memorial Entrance Scholarship

The Joseph and Katherine Gamel Memorial Entrance Scholarship is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on admission average and graduation from County of Smoky Lake high school. In the event that there are no qualified applicants from the County of Smoky Lake, this scholarship can be awarded to a student from any high school located north of Edmonton in the Province of Alberta. This endowed scholarship was established by Donna M Gamel in memory of her parents, Joseph and Katherine Gamel, to support incoming undergraduate students demonstrating academic excellence.
