About This Opportunity

A scholarship, valued at up to $6,000, is awarded to an outstanding student entering Year One at the University of Waterloo. The scholarship is distributed over two years: $4,000 is payable in Year One and $2,000 in Year Two, provided the recipient achieves an overall average of 80%. Preference is given to those who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and who attended an eligible secondary school in the Region of Waterloo. This entrance scholarship is open to any program and recognizes academic achievement. The scholarship honours the Lang family which operated one of the largest and most important businesses in the Waterloo region for 130 years. No application is required for this scholarship; students are automatically considered based on their admission application and academic performance.
