Joseph Hartshorn Graduate Scholarship in Quaternary Geology

The Joseph Hartshorn Graduate Scholarship in Quaternary Geology provides scholarship support to one or more Department of Earth, Geographic, and Climate Sciences graduate students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Priority is given to students studying Quaternary Geology, surficial processes, glacial geology, or related fields that were of particular interest to Professor Hartshorn. The awards help cover the cost of field research, although analytical and laboratory costs to investigate Quaternary science problems may also be supported at the discretion of the scholarship committee. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their completed General Application through the EGCS Common Application system.
