About this opportunity
The Joseph T. J. Stewart Global Citizenship Program was established in 1999 and revised in 2018 by Joseph T. J. Stewart to support domestic undergraduate students in the School of Management at the University at Buffalo who wish to participate in study-abroad programs. The scholarship is designed to enable students to gain international experience without delaying their graduation timeline.
Awards are based on academic merit and seriousness of purpose, with preference given to students who have never studied or traveled abroad and those with demonstrated leadership backgrounds. Priority is also given to students participating in School of Management faculty-led trips. Students must maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA in both their overall UB coursework and within the School of Management.
Applications are accepted twice annually, with a July 15 - September 15 window for Fall/Winter travel and a November 15 - February 15 window for Spring/Summer travel. Recipients are encouraged to assist the School of Management and UB's Study Abroad Office in promoting future programs upon their return from the study-abroad experience.
