Joyce Luciak Pirnak Leadership Award

The Joyce Luciak Pirnak Leadership Award is awarded to an undergraduate student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of the Bachelor of Education program, Secondary Route at the University of Alberta. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstrated community involvement, self-initiative, passion for teaching, and a commitment to working with diverse learners at the secondary level. This endowed award was established by family, friends, and former students of Joyce Pirnak (BEd 1971) to honor her legacy and support future educators who demonstrate leadership qualities and dedication to secondary education.
