About this opportunity
The JSPS Summer Program provides opportunities for pre- and post-doctoral researchers from the US, Canada and Europe to receive an orientation on Japanese culture and research systems and to pursue research under the guidance of host researchers at a Japanese university or research institute over a period of two months during the summer. The program includes orientation at SOKENDAI, research experience at host institutions, homestay program, and culminates in a research report presentation in Tokyo. Fellows receive maintenance allowance, airfare, overseas travel insurance, and an optional research support allowance. This program aims to foster international research collaboration and cultural exchange between young researchers and Japanese institutions across all fields of humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
