About this opportunity
The JT Jones Prize in Milton is awarded to an undergraduate or convocating student with superior academic achievement in the study of Milton, provided that the student's academic record is otherwise satisfactory in the year of the award. This award recognizes excellence in the study of Milton's works and is open to any student registered in courses related to the study of Milton. The prize is funded by endowed funds from Friends of John Thomas Jones, in recognition of his service in the Department of English from 1922 to 1964. If there is no suitable candidate in a given year, no award will be made. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship portal.
