About this opportunity
The Judith Kinnear Student Travel Scholarship supports a postgraduate student enrolled in a Master's (by Research) or PhD in either the School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies or the School of Engineering. The scholarship provides funding for travel related to academic and professional development, such as attending conferences, visiting research institutes, or meeting potential business or research collaborators. Dr Judith Kinnear, a former Swinburne student who completed a Graduate Diploma in Computer Simulation, went on to become Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sydney. She later made history as the first woman to lead a New Zealand university, serving as Vice-Chancellor of Massey University. This scholarship is valued at $5,000 for one year only and the payment will be made as a reimbursement when original receipts are presented and submitted to the University, for example conference registration, flight and/or accommodation bookings.
