Judith Sloman Memorial Scholarship in Eighteenth Century English Literature

Established in memory of Dr. Judith Sloman, who taught at the University of Calgary from 1968 until her death in 1980, this scholarship encourages students in her two main areas of academic interest - Women's Studies and Eighteenth Century English Literature. The scholarship is offered annually to continuing undergraduate students enrolled in any faculty who are registered full-time but need not be carrying a full course load. Recipients are selected based on academic merit in courses in Eighteenth Century English Literature, with preference given to students who have completed three half courses in Eighteenth Century English Literature over the last two consecutive terms.
