About this opportunity
The Julia Konig Bequest Award for Indigenous Students is funded through a bequest from the late Julia Nora Konig, who left the residue of her estate to the University of Adelaide for the benefit of Indigenous Australians. This scholarship is specifically designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing postgraduate studies.
The award is available for students undertaking full-time postgraduate coursework or research towards Master's or Doctor of Philosophy degrees at the University of Adelaide. The scholarship provides financial support of approximately $18,000 total over a period of up to 3 years.
The scholarship will be awarded to the highest-ranking eligible applicant in the Major Round. One scholarship is offered per funding cycle. Eligible students must be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals enrolled in postgraduate studies in humanities, culture, and social sciences disciplines at the University of Adelaide in South Australia.
