Justine Angelina Carswell Memorial Award in Fine Arts

The Justine Angelina Carswell Memorial Award in Fine Arts is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing entering the third year of a BFA degree program with a focus on painting in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Alberta. Recipients will be selected on the basis of their portfolio (maximum of 10 pieces) or recent work that demonstrates a passion for painting and drawing. This endowed award was established by Donna McCallum and Stuart Hewko in memory of Justine Angelina Carswell, also known as Denise Joan Hewko, Arts '84, to support students and encourage their continued pursuit of Fine Arts.
