About this opportunity
The K A North Scholarship provides financial assistance to teachers and educators who completed their pre-service teacher training at Massey University and are now pursuing postgraduate studies. Named in honour of Mr Kenneth Arnold North, the founding principal of Palmerston North Teachers College established in 1956, this scholarship was created from Mr North's bequest endowment to provide support to former Palmerston North Teachers College students undertaking coursework in New Zealand. The scholarship is aimed at fully registered teachers who are passionate about advancing their education to achieve career goals and who demonstrate commitment to contributing to their field and community upon graduation. Recipients must be employed as teachers or in educational facilities in New Zealand and be enrolled in a minimum of 30 credits per semester, intending to complete their qualification within the year of the award.
