About This Opportunity

The K.N. Stravelakis Family Scholarship Fund was established in December 1997 by Katherine K. Stravelakis to honor the memory of her husband Konstantinos (Kosta) N. Stravelakis and her son George K. Stravelakis. This scholarship supports graduate or professional studies students who are members of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. The fund honors Konstantinos, a Greek immigrant who became a WWII Armed Services Veteran and established successful business ventures in the U.S., and his son George who died tragically while pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Konstantinos was a lifelong learner and strong proponent of education as the key to opening doors of opportunity. The scholarship reflects this commitment to higher education and helping students overcome obstacles to pursue graduate and professional degrees. Recipients must be members or children of members in good standing of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and attend educational institutions in the United States.
