About this opportunity

The Kā Pūtea Grant is available to support Ngāi Tahu whānau enrolled in an NZQA Tertiary level study or an international equivalent. The grant provides financial support to registered Ngāi Tahu members pursuing tertiary education, with funding levels varying based on year of study and enrollment status. First-year full-time students receive $250, while students in subsequent years of full-time study receive $500. Part-time or limited full-time study funding is calculated pro-rata based on the number of credits or EFTS enrolled. The grant is administered through Te Kopa Ora, the Ngāi Tahu Grants Portal, and requires applicants to be registered with Ngāi Tahu Whakapapa and provide their six-digit whakapapa registration number.
