About this opportunity
This funding opportunity from Tillväxtverket (Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth) aims to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and create more sustainable, smart, and innovative businesses within Småland and Öarna regions. The program seeks projects and feasibility studies that increase the degree of research and development in SMEs. Projects should focus on increasing business participation in research and innovation, developing business-relevant research infrastructure, and lowering barriers to technology transfer. The funding supports three types of initiatives: direct interventions with companies (coaching, pilot projects, networks), development of support structures around companies, and investments in environments and infrastructure (test beds, research facilities). All projects must align with regional smart specialization strategies in areas such as forestry and wood, digital service development, industrial development, tourism, and food industries.
