About This Opportunity

The Karin Schmidt Non-Traditional Student Scholarship is awarded to select Helen Bader School of Social Welfare (HBSSW) graduate and/or international students. The scholarship is specifically designed for non-traditional students enrolled in the Social Work, MS program within HBSSW who demonstrate academic merit with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Applicants must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if applicable. Strong preference is given to students with employment and/or volunteer experience prior to enrollment. This scholarship provides a minimum award of $1,000 to support students pursuing their Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
