About This Opportunity

The Kate Edger Foundation - Dame Dorothy Winstone and Rae Hammer New Start Award provides up to $6,000 per annum for up to three years to support women students who have completed the University of Auckland New Start Programme and are now enrolling full-time in an undergraduate degree. Established in 1997 and funded by the Kate Edger Foundation, this award aims to assist women students who have successfully completed the University of Auckland New Start Programme to undertake full-time study in an undergraduate degree programme at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. The Award is intended for students studying full-time towards a qualification; however, the Trustees recognise that health conditions or impairments can limit a person's ability to study full-time and have extended the Award in 2023 to include part-time study on a case-by-case basis. Two awards are offered annually to support women graduates transitioning from the New Start Programme into their first undergraduate degree.
