About this opportunity
The Katherine Johnson Chair in Artificial Intelligence was established by Dandapani Sivakumar, PhD '96, in honor of the late NASA pioneer Katherine Johnson in 2021. This endowed position supports in-depth research focused on increasing equity in artificial intelligence and develops innovative curriculum including experiential learning opportunities. The chair serves as a role model for those interested in pursuing a career in computer science. This scholarship opportunity is available to students in the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences and provides tuition support for graduate students conducting research aligned with the chair's mission of advancing equity in AI.
