Kathleen M Karnaghan and Frederick E English Equity Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2020 to provide support to domestic students studying English who are experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship aims to support undergraduate students majoring in English at the University of Sydney who are facing hardship or disadvantage. The scholarship has been funded by a donation made by Kathleen Margaret Karnaghan and a bequest made by Frederick Alexander Elgar. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating why they are studying English, their commitment to the field, and the impact of financial hardship on their studies.
