Kay Kirby Pullen Entrance Scholarship in Nursing

The Kay Kirby Pullen Entrance Scholarship in Nursing is awarded to a rural (non-metropolitan) Alberta high school graduate with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and values work, volunteer, and leadership experience. Recipients are selected on the basis of their admission average, with consideration given to their demonstrated commitment to community involvement and leadership activities. This endowed scholarship was established by Kay Kirby Pullen, RN, to support the next generation of nursing professionals from rural Alberta communities.
