About this opportunity
The Ken and Bettie Ditzler Award for Aboriginal Students is awarded to students who are First Nation, Inuit, or Métis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2). Recipients must have satisfactory academic standing and be continuing in an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on demonstrated involvement in the preservation of traditional Indigenous culture and/or leadership within an Indigenous community. This endowed award was established by Ken Ditzler (BSc Agriculture 1960) and Bettie Ditzler (BSc Home Economics 1962) to support Indigenous students pursuing their undergraduate education.
