About this opportunity
The Ken and Bettie Ditzler Bar None Undergraduate Leadership Award in Crop Sciences is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the second, third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Crop Science. The award recognizes students who demonstrate a combination of academic achievement, financial need, and commitment to leadership and community involvement.
Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need, and demonstrated leadership, community engagement, volunteerism and/or involvement in extracurricular activities. This endowed award was established by Ken (BSc Agriculture 1960) and Bettie (BSc Home Economics 1962) Ditzler to support undergraduate students in crop sciences.
Recipients may only receive one Bar None award in any given year. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application to the University of Alberta.
