About this opportunity

The Ken and Elizabeth Powell Scholarship supports candidates committed to advancing the benefits of technology through undergraduate or postgraduate research at Massey University. Established from a bequest by Ken Powell, who owned a precision equipment business, and his wife Elizabeth Powell, a registered nurse and midwife, this scholarship aims to give people enthusiastic about technology an extra edge. The scholarship supports research relating to the advancement of technology, with preference given to research in areas of health, nursing, or built environment and construction. Undergraduate research typically comprises 30 credits including research projects, internships, or honours projects, while postgraduate research typically comprises 60 credits including research reports, professional projects, or applied analytic projects. Recipients are selected based on academic achievements, good character, leadership skills, and community involvement, as well as their commitment to advancing the benefits of technology.
