About this opportunity
The Kentville Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Bursary is established by the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department Society (KVFDS) to remove barriers for learners accessing and completing their post-secondary education. This bursary is specifically intended to help meet the needs of individual young people wishing to attend post-secondary education. The program aims to maximize impact, achievement, and success in those who receive these awards. Students must have a demonstrated interest in the work of Nova Scotia's first responders, such as planning to enter a relevant field or having volunteered with fire departments, hospitals, police, or other emergency services. The bursary is available to students from three specific high schools in the Kings County area of Nova Scotia: Horton High School, Northeast Kings Education Centre, and Central Kings Rural High School.
