Kerstin Hejdenbergs stipendium

Astma- och Allergiförbundet (Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association) Original Source

About This Opportunity

Kerstin Hejdenberg was the chairman of the Asthma and Allergy Association and the Research Fund during the 1990s. After her passing in 2000, a memorial fund was established that distributes scholarships to doctoral students in pediatric allergology research. Every year, the Asthma and Allergy Association's Research Fund awards the Kerstin Hejdenberg Scholarship to doctoral students researching allergic diseases in children. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage research on psychological and social dimensions of allergic diseases, and to prioritize research that can lead to improved communication between healthcare personnel and patients. The scholarships are the Research Fund's way of supporting young researchers early in their careers. The fund also supports interdisciplinary research.
