About this opportunity
The Kim Jackson Scholarship is an access scholarship designed to support an engineering student who identifies as a woman during their undergraduate degree at the ANU College of Systems and Society. The award is named after Ms Kim Jackson, an ANU Alumna who graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Engineering Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce.
Funding for this Award is supported by the Skip Foundation. Kim Jackson is a strong advocate on how education has the power to change lives and believes this scholarship will change the life of the recipient, enabling them to study at ANU and engage in all facets of university life.
The scholarship provides $25,000 per year for up to five years, depending on the duration of undergraduate studies. Recipients also receive mentoring and career development support. The award is specifically available to prospective ANU students who are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents from non-metropolitan areas enrolling in a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Research and Development) single or flexible double degree.
Applicants must submit a short video application (3 minutes or less) answering "Why Engineering?" describing their passion for engineering, what the scholarship would mean to them, and how they would use their Engineering degree.
