King Olav V Norwegian-American Heritage Scholarship

The King Olav V Norwegian-American Heritage Scholarship was established with permission from King Olav V of Norway to fund activities in which American and Norwegian heritages are explored, studied, and shared by qualified scholarship recipients. The scholarship supports cultural exchange between the United States and Norway, with different requirements depending on the applicant's citizenship. American citizens may pursue Norwegian Studies in the US or study in Norway in any field, while Norwegian citizens must study in the United States. The scholarship is designed to foster understanding and appreciation of Norwegian-American heritage and culture. Recipients are expected to share their experiences with Sons of Norway or wider Norwegian-American audiences through presentations at lodge meetings or events.
