About this opportunity

The King's Medical & Dental Fund (KMDF) is available to help medical and dental students in need of financial support during their studies at King's College London. Awards made from the fund aim to assist with day-to-day living costs such as rent, utility bills, travel costs, but awards for tuition fees can also be considered in certain circumstances. Applications are assessed under an 'additional need' methodology, which looks at the difference between accepted reasonable expenditure and expected funding. Awards are not meant to cover all financial needs but serve as a contribution to student funding. To be eligible, applicants must be studying a full-time medical or dental undergraduate or postgraduate programme at King's, be a Home student, and have taken up their full entitlement to student loans/NHS Bursary for tuition fees and living costs. Students must provide evidence of their household income through means-testing with Student Finance. The application process involves submitting an online form with details about current income and expenditure, along with a personal statement explaining the financial situation and supporting documents.
