Indre Østfold kommune's Climate and Environmental Prize is an annual award recognizing individuals, associations, or businesses with connections to Indre Østfold municipality who contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions or preserving the natural environment. The prize aims to honor those demonstrating significant climate and environmental engagement in the community. The award consists of 20,000 Norwegian kroner (NOK), flowers, and a diploma. Nominations are open to all residents, employees, and organizations within the municipality who can propose one or more candidates for consideration. This municipal prize celebrates local environmental leadership and encourages continued efforts toward sustainability and nature conservation within Indre Østfold. The nomination period opens annually with a deadline of October 1st.
