'Ko Te Tangata' School Leaver Scholarship

The 'Ko Te Tangata' School Leaver Scholarship, named 'for the people', recognises and supports top-achieving students commencing an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato. Priority will be given to those who achieve Excellence or Merit endorsements at NCEA level 2 (or equivalent) at a New Zealand secondary school and/or students with demonstrated financial hardship or extraordinary personal circumstances. This scholarship is available for all subject areas and is open to school leaver students with domestic fees status. Applicants must be intending to enrol full-time (120 points) in an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato for the first time in 2027, and may be taking a gap year in 2026.
