Kommunal lånegaranti

Drammen kommune provides municipal loan guarantees for building and rehabilitation of cultural arenas, sports facilities, and outdoor recreation facilities. This is a guarantee scheme where the municipality provides financial guarantees for activities owned/operated by non-commercial organizations. By providing municipal loan guarantees for voluntary associations, they can obtain better loan terms and interest rates, which results in lower total costs. The financing of building/rehabilitation of sports, culture, and outdoor recreation facilities is often costly, especially when voluntary organizations are responsible for the facilities. By offering municipal loan guarantees, the municipality contributes to the construction of more facilities managed by voluntary organizations, which increases the facility status in Drammen municipality. The guarantee is available for both existing loans and new loans associated with construction projects that are eligible for sports funding (spillemidler).
